Minutes for September 21, 2021
Attending via Zoom: Fr. Dustin Collins, Raymond Isaac (PPC Chairperson), Euri Aguilar, Bobby Austin, John Caso, Andrew Cooper, Thomas Edwards, Diane Meyle, Emily Peoples, Scott Perry, Daniel Tejada, Stephen Wang, Becky Frye, and Laura Ballantyne (PPC Secretary).

Opening prayer
Minutes of the August meeting: Approved
Fundraisers update
- Diocesan schools raffle:
- Available online. Will,be sold after masses one weekend a month starting in October. QR code available soon.
- $10 per ticket, $6.50 goes to SMS!
- Promoted on social media.
- Parish Stewardship weekend this weekend Sept 25/26. Letter is in the mail at this moment, should arrive in homes later this week.
- Farm to Table meal brought in just under $5,000.
School soffit repair update
– $40,000 estimate, will be in a blue metal.
New Our Lady of Guadalupe statues update
- Walking trail and school entrance statues.
- Statues should arrive tonight with Fr. Jesus.
Long Term Planning Committee recommendation
- The Committe met last Thursday with an architectual firm, Uwe Rothe and Andrew Russell.
- 20 year plan
- phased approach
- maintain spiritual nature of St. Mary’s campus.
- Firm charges $75-$150/hr for their services.
- Need more input from the school.
- Funds will come from Home Campaign savings already in reserve for the lower level.
- Meeting with larger ministries to evaluate needs.
- Make sure the funds are spent effectively.

Parish Open Forum discussion (Key points & set new date)
- Next Open Forum: November 8th, 7PM
- Will hold via Zoom if the Covid numbers don’t come down.
Trunk or Treat discussion
- October 29th (Friday), time still pending. Proposed time: 6PM-8PM
- Traditional Trunk-or-Treat would keep cars out of the road. Need place to park and place for trunks.
- Registration required for trunks. Will need a point person for this.
- Parishioners donate candy. Smaller crowd would be expected this year vs. last year when it was one of very few Halloween events.
October 13 rosary reception discussion
- This will be the last in the series.
- Rosary 6PM, reception to follow.
- Stephanie would like us to move the final rosary for October 13th to 6:30pm
- Youth group and other groups will be there on a Wednesday night.
- Parishioners to bring easy to serve finger foods.
- Diane volunteered to bring Pepsi products and cups.
- Is also Fr. Collins’ birthday!
