Minutes of the September meeting: Approved
New statues update
- Statues have arrived and need to be treated
- One statue will be in front of the school
- Charbel will go in the walking trail.
- A grotto will be built for the large statue of Mary; Hispanic community raising funds for the set up.
Fundraisers update (Raffle Tickets/iGiveCatholic)
- Goal to sell 400 by this weekend. Will promote on church and school,social media.
- Fundraiser for the grounds. Roses need new soil. Triangle area will cost roughly $3000 to landscape.
Stewardship update:
- Forms still trickling in; cut off will be 10/27.
- 173 households participating, $529,000 committed. Around 15% of households participating.
- Joe Ann Lawson has made a spreadsheet of the commitments for time & talent. This will be distributed to the appropriate ministries.

November activity, movie night update
- Movie night 11/12.
- Freddy’s will set up and sell burgers for their own profit (Parishioners will not have to work this concession).
Parish Directory Ministry Photos
- Grouped by areas of ministries
- Need photos of ministries in action.
- March 21-26 there will be a photographer at St. Mary’s.
- Will soon issue a text only directory of ministries.
Ministry Emails
- Rack with descriptive cards have generic emails. Each ministry will have a gmail address to use.
- This will make leadership transitions more seamless.
Diocesan Synod Representative
- Diocesan team will train the parish representatives; we need our representative selected by 10/22.
- Diocese wants a full conversation with all of the parishes in the diocese. This will eventually go to Rome.
- One parish open forum would be devoted to this.

- School will have a student representative and a faculty representative.
Long term planning items
- Weems will meet with Fr. Collins next week to offer a bid. Rothe has also offered a bid.
- The last master plan was from 1995 and all of those items have been completed.
- Lower level of the church building will be the focus of the upcoming plan. Youth group needs will take priority. School gym, ministry meeting space, and large group gatering space will also be addressed. We need to put boundaries on what can be done with the lower level.
In person meeting or Zoom for future?
- New upper class religion room in the school is available.
- Suggestion: hybrid model.
